Modding your Axim/ PDA for gaming!

I have created a mod for my X30. I don't know if modding is the right word... But, I have made the control pad much easier to use. I made a joystick out of an eraser stick. And it works suprisingly well.

1. Buy a nice flexible seperate eraser.

2. Cut out a an 'I' shaped figure. Make sure dimensions match the control pad.

3. curl a piece of scotch tape and stick it to the bottom of the eraser piece.

4. attach to the control pad... Finito...

It's easy on the thumbs and it's virtually free. :approve:

nice, I was actually thinking of doing something similar, and also with the two buttons on the right.

Playing nintendo can cramp your fingers because the buttons are so far recessed :( (hard to run and jump at the same time in games)

That's, uh, interesting... doesn't it annoy you that the eraser is so much higher than the rest of the buttons?

I'm just planning on using my Axim for RPGs... SNES ones and Final Fantasy Tactics - so I'm not anticipating any problems =)

I had no problems with the size while playing lil-nugs, that christmas game where you dodge ornaments and break them . If it becomes a problem, there is plenty of eraser left to mold.. :)

I would do this but I wouldn't know how to protect the screen while this device is attached.

It's an eraser... I'm pretty sure you don't need to worry too much :)
