Ok, I am completely stuck in Sorcery and I have only been playing for like 20 minutes. I got the first door open by using the inscription from the statue. I killled the first skeleton, and found the rock under its bones. I went into the hallway with the hanging skeleton. Found the room with the bridge and killed the other skeleton, and found the room with the waterfall, and the mutilated woman, but now I cannot find anywhere else to go unless it is either through the locked door, or the sewer grate that has some kind of code. Oh yeah, and I found the parchment written to Falcon.

Except I haven't been able to kill the Skelly by the bridge. I've only logged an hour or two in the game so far though. Just haven't had time. My next goal is to read the instruction manual. I want to learn how to gain back hit points. Did you know if you drink from that waterfall you gain 1 hp. I thought that was neat. But I lost it with a failed swim roll in the raw sewage. How does this game compare to the other rpgs you've played on your pocket pc?

I did the EXACT same thing with the swim in sewage on my first try. :D
Well, I figured out the waterfall and got through the part where I was stuck, but am currently stuck again. *sigh*
If you figure out how to get hit points back, let me know. I hate reading manuals. :)
It is a really good game so far. The graphics are absolutely amazing and game play, in general, is easy to figure out. It is definitely easier than Tower of Souls to figure out. To be honest, most of the RPGs on my PPC are of a different category (Pocket Everquest is more like Diablo type and the others are more of a Final Fantasy type). There really is no game to compare with it, but I love it so far, and hope they follow through with the modules.
Did you ever receive the email mentioned that is supposed to give some kind of password? I haven't gotten mine yet.

I haven't received a password. I figure they are just logging our email addresses and will send it out mass mail when they have module 2 ready. I will email and ask them about that though. Thanks for the quick review. I agree, great game, nothing like it. It uses the d20 system from D&D 3rd edition which rocks my world.

OK, now I'm stuck. I've made it to town and spoke to the innkeeper. He needs me to find the axe that was stolen by goblins. I've tried going back into the dungeon and searching the body of the goblin I killed. i also tried taking the axe that the first skeleton had. Nothing... Any help?
I would assume that there has to be more to the game than making it to town. They say that the first module should give about a week's worth of gameplay... not an hour's.
"Sorcery Part I contains 14 gaming modules with over 30 quests"
I finally solved the chain pulling puzzle only to be confronted with the message "To continue load Mod 1 Part 2. Install this module from http://www.SorceryPDA.com/mods".
It was short, but it wasn't the full first module. It was only Part one of the first module. You know you are ready to go on when you have talked to the innkeeper, have a key, a box with a hellspider, the protection scroll, some gold, and a rope. :D So are you finished?

Can you guys help me figure out in what order to pull the chains (or how they work?) I have spent about an hour trying different things, and I'm totally burned out on this game. Also, what's with the gate at the end of the sewer?
I'm glad I found this thread... There really aren't any places online to get help yet (and the hints at SorceryPDA.com aren't worth anything.) I bruteforced the first gate, and I didn't see the statue until after I read about it (and spent another 10 minutes looking for it.) I guess it probably helps to drag the stylus over the screen so you can see the hotspots, huh?
BTW, I figured that heavy was good and squeaky was bad. Does this mean that I have to pull all of the chains in the right order until I hear nothing but heavy? What happens when I hit a squeaky? Does that mean I have to start over again, or just pull the chain until I hear heavy?
There are like 8 freaking chains, which means there are hundreds and hundreds of possibilities...
I made a map using Excel and started trying possibilities, recording my moves as I went. I actually got to where I pulled all 7 in a row and heard the heavy sliding on the first try each... but the door still wouldn't open. Am I missing something here?
To be perfectly honest, I just kept pulling chains everytime I walked by one and eventually when I checked the door it told me that I needed part 2 of mod 1, so I have no idea about the order.
I emailed Sorcery PDA and they said that eventually they plan on opening their message forums again, but until then I will make the thread sticky since it was requested. :D
