Worms World Party on X50v?

Hrrrmmmmm...

I don't seem to be able to get Worms World Party running on my X50v.

I'm running the A02 ROM, have downloaded the latest version - and don't think the problems can be due to any conflicts - As I have tried a hard reset, with WWP being the only app i've installed after it.

I'm installing it to main memory...

When the install on the PPC is finished it does warn me that the program isn't designed for this version of Windows, etc...

So what happend when I run it? The title bar changes to "light simulator" - but then nothing happens, no matter how long you leave it :'( - oh, and it doesn't freeze up the device - you can still just close the app.

Any help would be much appreciated - Multiplayer WWP on the train with friends can't be beaten!

I had the same thing when I first installed Worms.
You are probably installing the game on a SD or CF card. The game doesn't work if installed on an external card.
Try installing it in the "default location", it should work.

Although I have tried it just about everywhere - the SD card, BIS & forcing main memory (as opposed to default install path)

Sorry, I read your post too fast

I had the same problem, I could see the title "Light Simulator" and then nothing. Installing it to the default directory did the trick for me.

ROM version A02, and Worms World Party 1.0.4

Dammit. I have A02 / 1.04 / 1.04d and none work :@

Hrrrrm - are you running any gfx tweaks? (GAPI tweak, perhaps?)

No, nothing like that. I haven't tweaked my Axim in any way.
Worms was one of the first things I installed on it.

Hrrrrmmmmm - OK, I got fed up and reinstalled all my usual apps and the suchlike. Then I just thought i'd give WWP one last go... And it works!

I've no idea why, but hell, i'm not complaining! :D

I had the same problem when I installed this program. The problem for me was that no matter where I installed it the program created two seperate folders, one called Worms and the other Worms Resources (or something similar). I had to copy all the files from the resources folder into the Worms folder (where the program exectuable is). Havent had any problems since.

ya i have the same problem. I find that if you install it to the default location. Play it a bit. Delete it and reinstall it to CF/SD then it will work. Havent done this lately but last i remember it did work.
