I have been trying to get doom set up on my x50v. I have followed all the links and downloads, but every file that i put on says "not a valid pocket pc aplication"??

Any help on getting it set up would be much appriciated!

Thanks in advance! :approve:

Is the pocket version networkable? Bluetooth Doom battles would own.

Here's the thing, Pocket Doom works with me, but I have 2002. I'm not sure it would work with the 2003SE...

I can confirm that gfDoom (http://home.freeuk.com/gamefreaks/pql/gfDoom.htm) works fine on the x50v - VERY fine in fact. I'm using Picard's GAPI driver but I think it works fine without it too....

Not to hijack the thread, but has anyone had any luck with Pocket Quake II? It loaded on mine but I got two very small screens and it didn't register button presses very well... I closed it and later it wouldn't load, giving some kind of initialization error, so I removed it and haven't bothered with it since.

I just tried gfDoom, the screen resolution is distorted compared to Pocket Doom. Look @ any in game text... I think Pocket Doom's view is also larger. Is there a way to put gfDoom in landscape?

Yes, go into Doom's menu, select options, and change graphic detail to 'low'. Alternatively, you could wade into the cryptic docs and config files and map a button to toggle landscape.
