Worried Antivirus

Thanks micahlegg, sorry I called you ace earlier on, I have come across PC cillin before, but unintalled it because I didnt think there were virus definition updates for it, was I mistaken?

There is no need for definition updates.

And there is no need for a virus program on the ppc,
There are no known viruses writen for the ppc.
So it is actually a waste of space for a virus program.;)

Yes and no. Although there is no FAT or MBR where a virus could hide itself, there are certainly a lot of .exe, .doc, .html etc files around for a virus to attach itself, and start messing things up.....

Pc-cillin seems to be quite nice, very fast, and since its a well-known name in computer software, I guess its legit.....

Hmmmm...........i forgot about that....but the viruses usually made for other os.....but as the ppc popularity goes,there are sure to be future writen viruses...

And if there is currently a virus on the ppc...there it is unlikly the device will be affected...

I always virus scan my files before i put them on my axim.

Just put it in the mydocuments folder,then go to the axims file explorer,and it should be there.
