Tyrian (or Tyrian2K)

I loved this game in the past and even have it setup to work on my XPPRO powered rig. But this game would be completely awsome to get running on a PPC. Is there any possible way to port it over or does that need a full scale game making company to do? That game was the bomb.

You could run the Game Boy Advance version using Morphgear or other GBA emu. They're giving it away, as well as the full DOS version. If you're really dedicated you might be able to get the DOS version running under DOSBox(main trouble is getting DOSBox to run).

http://liberatedgames.org/game.php?game_id=73
BTW, the entry seems a bit messed up right now, the DOS version is listed as 'source' AFIAK the source hasn't been released, and the GBC version isn't listed (both unreleased GBC and GBA are availible).

ya this game was the bomb for me back in the day. Hope they do a real port like that game FirePower someday. Still i shall give this a try.

I haven't tried this Tyrian game, but I've been having a lot of fun with SkyForce. And it's only $10, which is pretty much the most I'd every pay for PPC software.

Tyrian was a great game when I used to play it. I think I still have some disks lying around that have it on there. But, alas, I do not have a disk drive. That and I'm too busy playing Final Fantasy 7-9 (either on PC or PPC) to try it :)

EDIT: Woohoo 150 posts! lol

Just tried the GameBoy Color version using an emulator. Wasn't that impressed, but maybe the emulation isn't any good? Perhaps the GameBoy Advance version is better.
