Pocket Mahjong
Looked and tried a few of the Mahjong games. The solitare versions, not interested in board game simulation.
The two I like are: - Emperor's Mahjong by Hexacto
- PDAMill Gamebox Asia
I'm leaning toward Gamebox Asia.
Would like user's opinion of these two games.
Thanks in advance.

I like Gamebox Asia, but the tiles are a little small. They're better on my X50v than my X3i or X5, but still are small. Aside from that, it's a typically beautiful PDAMill game.
I never tried Emperor's Mahjong.
How about Shangai Pocket Essentials by Landware. ( http://www.landware.com/shanghai/ppc/index.html) That looks like a nice version with bigger tiles.

I've been using Smart Mahjongg (Christian Morawietz, www.smartmahjongg.com). It's free, but the tile markings are awfully tiny. Beautiful drawings for the seasons tiles, though.

I like Emporer's Mahjong. It is a great game. I tried the trial for Gamebox Asia. Emporer has many levels and seems to have a lot of playability. Both are very good.

You could try 9.95 Mahjongg, which can be easily found at www.handango.com. Unfortunately, there`s no trial download and the game costs 9.95 USD. The tiles however are pretty big and clear in comparison with other Mahjonggs. It lacks some of the most popular layouts, the ones that are implemented are mostly "square-based". I have just purchased and I`m pretty happy with it. Good luck in searching!

I have been using this one, too. Great value for money but after just a few games your eyes could be in pain :rolling:

I don't buy software without a trial. I want to see it in action first.
Gamebox Asia not that bad for my "older eyes".

Check out Absolutits's Mahjong. If you're into innovative Mahjong play, it's worth a look.
If you just want something pretty.. Gamebox Asia is probably the way to go ;)

Thanks for the recommendation. I downloaded it and will probably register it. It's a shame it doesn't support VGA-resolution graphics -- the markings are pretty fuzzy. Otherwise, very nice.
