morph gear help

it's my own fault but now i can't get morph gear to work it just freezes up my x50v... i was messing around with the console settings and i changed the driver settings from auto to gapi...i tried uninstalling morphgear and reinstalling but the same thing still happens i can't get back to that screen to set it back at auto no matter what i do
i would really like to get this back up and running as i want to finish my chronotrigger game on the bus grrrr

Try uninstalling and then perform a soft reset. Then try reinstalling. Also, if you have a program like MemMaid, use it to clean the registry before reinstalling. That may help. I had the same problem, except I kept getting error messages before I could do anything. I learned that if I hit the settings button as soon as it opened, I was able to get into settings. Hope this helps.

so i got around it, even when i uninstaled and reinstalled soft resetted it didn't matter for some reason it stayed in gapi mode...i installed the gapi tweak...which caused morph gear to do some wierd stuff but at least it let me get to the settings, changed it back to auto, and uninstalled the gapi tweak everything is crisp again thanks for your help though dude

No problem, although it should be dudette (I suppose). Glad you got it to work. I have to say it is one of my favorite programs.

My bad i guess i should pay a bit more attention to who i'm talking to thanks lady !!
I'm a newb to this whole ppc thing i appreciate all and any help given...just wanted to know one more thing...do u use the gapi tweak and do you find it any better if you do?
from what i understand it makes things qvga instead of true vga

No problem. I'm a bit used to it by now. :) To be honest, I don't use the tweak for MorphGear. It is fast enough to satisfy me without it, and I think the graphics look a bit better in VGA mode.

But you are right. The gapi tweak does cause the program to run in QVGA.

Cool thanks, i found it's prett fast..the turbografx emulater is perfect and if u play around a bit with the snes it's prety damn good also, now i can finish chronotrigger and get started on star ocean

The gapi tweak must not be made for Morphgear. I tried to use it once and it wasn't pretty. The image on the screen was stretched and distorted.
