The x50v is perfectly capable of running a good RTS game. Even a 3D one like Empire Earth would work. The problem is that there isn't any market for developers to port over any of the games. So we're left with expensive but practically useless (except solterra and a couple others) when it comes to games hardware. Anyways, RTS and FPS for me.

I just got my Axim x50v... and i am shocked at the little choice i have in games.

Anyone played Myst PPC yet? I beat it years and years ago back on a desktop.

I've played most of them, and I'm simply not a fan of pda rpgs. Many of you may disagree, but these rpgs like Legacy, Everquest, and Arvale simply don't stack up to the classic SNES and Playstation rpgs of old.

I think that a great strategy/tactics game like Final Fantasy Tactics, Advance Wars or Fire Emblem would translate well onto a pda. You could play the whole game using the stylus. You can pick it up any time and finish a mission or 2 to get your fill.

Having to use these horrible d-pads (or even the stylus) to get around in an rpg like Arvale is a painful experience after using console pads for years.

Little choice, are you kidding ? There are litteraly thousands of games, and new ones are out almost on a daily basis.

As for multiplayer games I e-mailed the makers of Gunbound and they said they would consider it. Its got worms like graphics with a lot more customization. Pretty sweet and would be awsome whenever your in a hotspot.

I got descent working on the axim. The controles suck and theres no sound but if the dev would add sound, and make the touchscreen control like Quake and rotate the screen to normal view (smaller screen but works a bit faster and you can use the controles easier) then it would be cooking. Hope it continues to be worked on. It got me reinstalling Descent 3 on my home pc again lol.

News to me... do you have a site with a list of game releases or anything? I am not a fan of freeware either.

Funny you say that.. You may just see one very soon. I have been working on something for the past little while. Its acually a PC MMO game but with a pocket pc port. Ill release info to this site soon enough.
Oh some general info about it.
1. Its 3d
2. Its strategy/rpg
3. Its MMO
4. Its commercial quality, so it will not be free.
5. The graphics on the pc are very good for a MMO game, and the Pocket version is very close to the same quality.
