I also just downloaded a SCUMM emulator. Which apparently allows for playing old games on my PDA like Curse of Monkey Island and Beneath a Steel Sky all in glorious VGA :) Also many of the games are freeware now.
I will finish Arval first though :)
Cheers

Correct me if I'm wrong but (I just tried the beta once) ther is only the tactical part right ? I mean the part where you move your soldiers and kill aliens. Not the full game.
That's right, just a random tactical mission each time. The screenshots for the Geosphere part of the game only appeared about a month ago.

You wouldn't be able to post a link to some of the freeware games would you?

Ah yes... when I heard of SCUMM I wasn't sure how it was going to work... and it is great !!
I just the sweeped the dust from all my old PC games, and the majority do work with the SCUMM emulator: Day of the Tentacle, Sam & Max, Beneath a Steel Sky, and of course Monkey Island I and II (I didn't buy the 3rd one at the time, but I've read on some forums that it also works fine).
Which leads me to the conclusion that I have bought a VGA PPC with a 625 Mhz processor to emulate my old 486...
I am playing so many games on this thing, it's scary. I love Flux, Geo Rally, Worms, Snails, and the 4Pinball series, and am currently playing all of those.

There are 2 free games at the bottom of the page, Beneath a Steel Sky and Flight of the Amazon Queen.
The other games it mentions you might have to buy for yourself, though I suspect you can get them for next to nothing off Ebay or online for download (like through the home of the underdogs - gives links to manufacturers who offer their old games for download for a small fee or totally free) I have not looked.
Cheers

And don't forget the two best ones (according to me): LOOM and Indiana Jones & the fate of Atlantis. Bliss on a PPC :approve:

Thankyouthankyouthankyou etc....
Just downloaded it, and got it to work straight away. I might have to go on a hunt for all of those disks i thought i'd never use.
Just thought I'd let people know. It doesn't seem to like things like OzVga. so its a quick restart into Standard mode and I'm off :)

Lately I have been playing a lot of Battleship. It is so hard to win I keep playing over and over for the 1 out of 10 chance of actualy beating the computer. :)
