Diablo is not a very cpu intesive game, esp in the graphics dept. Diablo one would probably be great. I'd never install it though. I've already wasted many months of my life adicted to it. Now all I'd need is the PPC version to waste the rest of my productive life.

Diablo would be nice... but I agree, it would be quite taxing, graphics-wise and you'd probably need the 2200Mh batt to play it the same way we usually play Diablo (esp DII ;)). However, a simpler and less graphics-intensive Diablo clone would be appreciated... can any software developer hear me?? It would be APPRECIATED!! :)

There already are some diablo clones out there for the PPC.
Try the Pocket Evequest series, for instance.

On a side-note, I tried Legacy and it's great. If you need a good fix while waiting for Diablo on the PPC (should it ever arise), try it. It's not diablo-like (3rd person view) but more Bard's Tale/Might&Magic (party view). For fantasy RPGers, it's great :)

I played the original Diablo on a 90 mhz processor. I was thinking about this the other day, wishing for Diablo ;-

I still play D2 on battle.net. Love it... love it to bits. I'd love it more if it appeared on my X50v ;)

I played Diablo... maybe it was DII on a laptop that was 600 mhz with no gfx card. Remeber that PC games scale to the system that they are on.
some DI or II would work with a bit of effort (maybe a lot of effort, lol).
Anyway, I think even x30's could hanled a software 3d accelerated or 2d Diablo game. x50v could definite;ly run it in 3d if it was ported.

It not really about whether it COULD run, more about whether the original developers who own the liscence would be willing to let it be developed. It would be easier to make their own game than to pay $$$ for the lisence to a game that people would only be dissapointed with on a PDA

Diablo is one of my all time favorites. That would be a perfect game for the x50v. I'm thinking of trying out the everquest game. sounds kind of cool.
