This is great! Just make sure you switch off the GAPI tweak (I THINK this is what causes it to stop responding it to screen taps) and in the game switch on full screen.
Now if there were sound!

Nope, did not need original WC2 games files. However, there are some features missing. From what I can tell this what is missing.

1.) Nomultiplayer
2.) No sound
3.) Unable to save game
4.) Limited number of maps


Perhaps you only need the orginal WC2 files if you're using VGA, which I am not

nope, I am running in VGA and didnt need any of the original game files, everything seems to be in the zip... wish I could build though :) hard to play without that...

wierd that everything says that you need the original files or it will be useless...

Can somebody tell me if they managed to start Warcraft in Real VGA mode? I have no problem running VGA resolution version and a regular version, but only if I launch them from qVGA. I spend most of my time in Real VGA resolution (SE VGA) and when I run stratagus640.exe or staratagus.exe under it, my X50v just freezes:-(
And I didn't need to copy any files from original CD, everything was included in a package for me. Though I have partially Russian version in that package. All of the objectives are in Russian and a map, when you start a campaign, is in Russian.

Did you try to run the normal QVGA stratagus.exe instead ?
Basically "Ttrue VGA" is like QVGA, with 4 times more pixel. There is no double-pixelling like in our weird native quasi-VGA mode.

I did. I get the same result - one frozen X50v
I guess I'll just have to switch to qVGA every time I want to play Warcraft. Too bad you can't save a game in it. I think you would be able to do that, if there was a way to type something in the name box, but no keyboard

Ya i just tried it. Threw it into my SD card and hit wargus640.exe and it played flawlessly. (yes the keyboard issue is there but if you click build right above the normal keyboard button it is playable. The speed is quite slow so i hope that and sounds can be fixed and added soon. Otherwise it looks awsome and is stable. Bummer the speed didnt increas with the gapi tweek on or off in any setting. Guess its more of an issue with wargus.

I was looking at some of the script files in there. Wish there was something like a .ini file to tinker with the throttle or something for the speed. Has anyone gotten sound to work though. The script files are there for it but i wonder if it would work or not. I hope this keeps being worked on. This is too sweet. Best looking RTS on the PPC yet. VGA Baby.

Battle.net version is not supported!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The language is russian. You need to delete the folder and to copy your ORIGINAL WC2 Folder into Stratagus.

I have it working without copying any WC2 folders. What is the advantage to using the original rather than just wargus?
