Arrow I managed to save a game in WARCAFT II. DETAILS INSIDE

Hi!
Just wanna let you know how to do it
1) Download 2 files I attached ( so that you can save 2 different games)
2) Copy them into \SD Card\WARCRAFT II\WC2\save (OR wherever your game is)
3)If you want to save a game go to "save", click on one of those files, then click "Save". A new file "SAVE1.SAV.sav.gz" will be created
4) The next time you play go to "Load" and click on "SAVE1.SAV.sav.gz"

BTW You can disable the virtual keyboard with "zenokeyboard" Not completely though, but it will be more convenient to build the basic structures.

Enjoy!

Keyboard fix.

I tweeked this file and it seamed to get rid of the keyboard issue. (now if only there was some sort of useable keyboard ingame lol)

go into the wc2 dirrectory and edit the preferences2 file and change the fullscreen(0) to a (1)

Think thats all that i changed other than my default user name.

that didnt work for me :( the file did not have a fullscreen option, but I added one, the preferences file kept getting overwritten everytime I went into the program so I set it to read-only... no change... still get the keyboard

That keyboard tweak didn't work for me either. The best solution so far is "zenokeyboard"

Actually you don't need to download those savegame files, just go to

Wargus/WC2/Save

and make blank files with the name of the save game files you want to overwrite. For example I did "save1" and "save2" and "save3"

Then when you go to Save, Wargus will let you overwrite those files with real save games.

If you want, end them with .sav.gz since that's the extension of the Stratagus save game format.

What works for me is just going in to save and then pulling up the soft-keyboard in the backround and tapping a few keys. It creates some pretty interesting save names but does work. Your ideas sound a lot smarter so I'll try it. What we really need is an auto-save option so we don't have to restart the game over when it crashes all the time.... Does anyone have wargus running with no crashes on an x50v and if so how?

What program do you use to "make a file"? File exployer only lets me make new folders...
