i have put both pocketSNES and morphgear on my x50v, however when i try to open roms with them it and it says it is unable to because of insufficinent memory.

maybe you don't have enough memory. What does it say when you go to Start-> Settings-> System tab -> Memory??

i just got my x50v 3 days ago, and the only other thing i have put on it is se_vga. I have 13.1mb free,

Is that Program or Storage memory? Or the total of the two?

Where did you install the emulators?

You can also adjust the slider bar...and, I have a few memory hog roms- that I have to do a soft reset fot before I open them. This usually clears it right up.

Try this:

1.) Open pocket snes from the file explorer (Navigate to it on the axim, then tap on it.)

2.) Click Tools->Load Rom-> Select the rom....The game should start now...

TO use morphgear, you have to install Snes 9.1....Then open it via morphgear. Morphgear hosts the game. The Snes 9.1 is the program-in-the program that tells morphgear how to handle the snes rom...easy....PM da1writer if u still need help...He is an owner of it.

Err... I don't think his problem is that S-I-M-P-L-E. You're making it sound like anyone who has encountered this problem doesn't know how to open a rom. He stated very clearly that he tried to open the rom, and that was followed by the insufficent memory message. And your reply is a layman's step-by-step on loading roms?

Btw, the edit option works wonders. You really don't have to double-post in most cases.

Anyway, I've encountered this, and I did a soft reset, and they loaded fine afterwards. Of course, I have very little loaded into my built-in memory. It's an x3i, and both Morphgear and my roms are loaded into my sd card. Good luck :approve:

OK. I am trying to use PocketSNES with the chrono trigger file (.smc file type - is this the right file type?). I try to load the rom using PocketSNES and when i click to load it, the PocketSNES title screen comes up and goes full screen, but then nothing else happens and it seems like the program PocketSNES freezes. I have no other programs running when i do this and i have chaged my memory seetings in order to free up as much as i can. i have tried putting the roms onto a SD card in order to free up space. However, nothing works. I have tried a soft reset but nothing works. I have tried it with se_vga on and off.

Any other ideas on how to get this to work?

In fact, when i close out of pocketSNES with the switcher bar, it says that the program is not responding. I am using pocketsnes 1.12.

If you have that much conventional memory it's a little strange that you would get that message. Sometimes the cause could be just a bad download or a corrupt or non-functioning ROM. I would just reload the pocket snes and try and see if it works with a different rom.

no, this is the default error message....I have experiance...This happens when the program has a problem loading a code to run the rom....I believe that you just need to install the gapi tweak, snes 901x, and morphgear, and then it will work fine....

Also, by chance did you unzip the rom.....Unzipping it can sometimes cause problems....It is recommended that you leave it zipped for troubleshooting...

allright, i left the file zipped and put it on my axim. Tried to open it, but had the same problem (using pocket snes). My problem with morphgear was that i didnt have snes901x installed. Where do i get this program?
