Apparently actual pc games are too hard to create for the pocket pc. I base this assumption on the serious lack of games with any complexity beyond that of "Bejeweled" (yet my pocket pc can somehow handle guiding me across the country without a paper map, clearly displaying my position in hi-res, and rerouting instantly whenever I screw up). Does anyone else think it's weird that an obsessed fan had to port Warcraft themselves, just to get a decent rts fix on the ppc? For every unmade game screaming to be developed for the mobile platform, there are 20 unwarranted (and hence unpurchased) titles developed for the pc, not to mention dedicated gaming platforms.

Isnt AOE a good port??? Granted the game isnt AOE 2 or AoM but for a pc game port I thought that was very well done. In response to lack of pc game porting. Part of it comes down to licensing agreement. PC game developers usually dont develop games for PPC. Therefore a PPC developer will have to contact the PC game company and get them to agree to allow them to port the game over. Anyway its not as easy as we think :) ALTHOUGH I wish it were. There's so many pc games I would love to play :)

There is no money in PPC gaming market. At least not the amount of money to cover development or porting of the game like Startcraft, Diablo, etc. AOE is the only actual port of full blown computer game made by the maker themselves, but then again, the maker is Microsoft, they had to release something to support their platform.
