Does anyone know where the save file data (bank info) is saved for this game and the file name? I want to save just it against future hard resets......

Check the install dir, probably in there... so back up the whole folder and hope =)

  

Tried that, but the only file in the install dir is the exe, and its not the one.

I've even tried searching for files modified past a certain date after playing a hand, but even that does not pull up any files.

The brain just clicked in - I bet it is in the registry! I need to find a program like regedit for the PPC to check it out.

Great tool! Thanks! With it, I was able to prove my thinking. It is stored in the registry under HKCU\Software\IDGaming\Tropical Nights, Key Balance. The figure there is the quanity of quarters, not actual "dollars." To find your balance in dollars, divide that number by 4. You can change that number without having to do a soft reset the next time you play the game (in case anyone else is interested).
