Question Adventure-games...

Are there any adventure-games like "Beneath a Steel Sky" or "Kings Quest" available for the Axim?

Too bad they don't make games like that anymore, I liked the low resolution and total lack of 3d effects.

Sort of. :D

If you get ScummVM then you can run games like:

Indiana Jones & the Last Crusade (256)
Loom (256 color CD version)
Zak McKracken (256 color FM Towns version)
Monkey Island 1 (VGA version)
Monkey Island 1 (CD version)
Monkey Island 2
Indiana Jones And The Fate Of Atlantis
Day Of The Tentacle
Sam & Max
The Dig
Simon The Sorcerer
Simon the Sorcerer II

of course you have to own the original so that you can get the necessary files you need.

http://scummvm.sourceforge.net/

There may be other adventure games out there, but this is all I know of at the moment. Hope that helps.

You might want to search the Pocket Gamer . They have games listed by category, and that might help you.

You could also go mad and spend $6.95 at clickgamers.com and download commodore 64v emulator (free trial) - you will then have access to 6000 games - theoretically abandonware - from such sites as lemon64.com - includes such series titles as indiana jones - graphically naff! but still good fun.

The ZX spectrum also had a lot of adventure/text based games. First download the spectrum emulator from either...... www.pocketgamer.com (or net, I forgot) (you'll have to search in the emulator section of course) and then go to www.worldofspectrum.org and download tons of free abandonware!
