BOR popularity comes and goes, and there have been some big sites about it (to help new modders, etc etc), so poke around. Maybe theck the SegaForums (home of Senile Team)? I mostly fiddled with Castlevania, BoR itself, MegmanX, and Village of ??? (Rage?) ..

I foind it fairly playable now aside from the oddities, so I think its alright; I worry that 3 buttons on the right side could be 'too much' when furiously tapping with thumb, but maybe it'd be okay. I'm thinking of alpha blending the tap locations a little, so you can see where they are without cramping the display at all.

Enjoy :)

Hi skeezix,

Sorry for the delay in response, been out of the area recently.

Alpha 3 rocks!

Quite playable now. I did try the 50MB pak on alpha 3, and it worked quite well.

You should put a PPC "wait" cursor when first loading BOR, as without it the the PDA seem frozen for a while, depending on the PAK size, when executing BOR, until the initial screen appears.

The upcoming biggies I'm still hoping for are potrait (landscape button mashing is cramps the fingers in landscape mode), sound (a hard one), and a exit function/full screen mode (to get rid of Wisbar flashing).

Here are more screenshots I made:

Try using your thumb on the right side for attack/jump.. I find it quite comfortable instead of button mashing :)

Thanks for the screenies and I'll hopefully get some updates in a bit.

I didn't have any problems running BOR Alpha 3, with exception of long loading time. The only problem that I have has already been noted. Wisbar battery indicator and clock are blinking and if I accidentally tap on them, BOR is not responding any longer. More then that it shows as running process (in PHM Task Manager) but not as a running application. So there is no way to get back into the game. And somehow PHM Tast Manager can not kill the process, so the only way to clear the memory for me is to do soft-reset.

Hi, people. I am quite new to this things, I have been trying to install alpha3 on my Mitac Mio, and I am getting "Cannot find 'BORce2.exe' (or of the components)..." i have tried different locations, placed it on storage card, on flash, in main memory, still the same.
I have borce2.exe and bor.pak in the same directory. GAPI is in windows directory ver 1.2.
Any suggestions?

Hmm, I don't recall the dependancies off the top of my head, but it shouldn't be much; GAPI 1.2 is probably all that it needs I think, beyond the usual stuff.. hmm...

I'm tied up until very late this evening and may be too burnt out by then, so if anyone has a dependancy walker to let us know, feel free :)

I'll hopefully get Alpha 4 out soon, with a menu for picking PAK files from a menu instead of doing rename trickery.

Just an FYI folks..

I've got a new build slowly in the works, just not had much time the last week or two.

Next build has a PAK picker up front so no need to rename PAK's anymore; it also has some screen overlay buttons so you know where to tap and the buttons are re-arranged a bit. I'll fix the fullscreen hint and Quit options and then get it all out. Then the last main thing will be sound..
