Does anyone know of a game similar to Pocket Tanks that isn't Atomic Cannon or Snails? Freeware is always nice, but any info would be really appreciated! Thanks a bunch y'all!

Remember the gorillas sample game that came with QBasic for MS-DOS? Two gorillas, with high-rise buildings in between, chucking explosive bananas at each other at specified speeds/angles. Not quite as much variation in weaponry, but same concept.
Best thing ever made with QBasic, IMHO. Wonder if it could be re-compiled for PocketPC? No doubt the resolution would be the same (or higher, even)!
Wait - hold on - can PocketDOS emulator run QBasic?

I know I am only 17, but I remember playing that Gorillas game with my Dad when I was younger. I still have it on my computer now, and still play it. I've been working on somehow porting that to Pocket PC with no avail, but I'm still working on it.

I haven't run across any freeware artillery games Kenner. Should you find one please post about it. Grapics aren't everything.
Ok, Pocket tanks is an amazing game. Don't diss, yo.

OMG! I remember that! Screen was blue and windows were yellow.
What has recently been referred to as "Pocket Tanks" was, in a former life, called "Scorched Earth". To some of us oldies, it was fondly remembered as "Scorch!"
We kept a Windows 3.1 machine around for a long time for basic use, and Scorch was usually running. We finally put the old puter in storage a few years back. When we went looking for the game online again about a year ago, what we found was "Pocket Tanks."
I would love to see it on my Axim someday. A heartwarming blast from the past.
Scorched Tanks for the Amiga runs quite well withPocketUAE, but the mouse control is messed up once in game, at least for me. The pointer forces itself up and to the right. You can move it although it's tough but then it goes right back. I have yet to try any other games as this is the one I really wanted to get working from my old Miggy.
Anyone try this game and get the same? Possibly know a fix?
