Ok... So far this AXIM is really an amazing little thing! I have been playing Age of Empires from day one and loving it. But today I loading on 3 games... Snowed In, Ms. Pac Man, Dig Dug, and Pac Man. I really wasn't too interested in keeping them on my resident memory so I tried to activesync and then uninstall from my desktop. Well, the system went through the motions and then an error screen pops up on the AXIM telling me that the uninstall was unsuccessful as the file "program files\digdug.exe" on the PDA is either in use or is a read only file, this same message comes up for each of the programs with that programs .exe file listed in the error message. It suggested I go to system\memory and close all running programs. I did this but none of these games were listed in the running programs list. I clicked close all anyway just in case and tried again. Still the same ol' crap. This time I synced up and checked the files on my pda through the explorer on activesync. None of the files that it listed in the errors were "read only" all were set to "archive". I am basically lost at this point. I suppose I could simply delete the files and folders from the PDA but usually when you install a program on a computer it not only installs to a folder but it places various files into the windows directories and such, maybe PDA's don't work that way but it would seem there wouldn't be much difference. Bottom line is, I don't want to just delete the folders and risk leaving a bunch of unknown clutter elsewhere on the system. Anyone know why this is happening and have any suggestions as to how I can get these off my PDA? I need the space on my PDA for other things.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.... THANKS!!

Jeremy

Well i ran into this problem once before, not with games but with MP3s, all i did was simply a soft reset and then i was able to remove them after that.

As far as why is this happening, just keep one thing in mind, you are using a Microsoft OS, unexplainable things are going to happen

I had same thing happen with a medical dictation software that crashed on me; I tried to delete, and came up with the Microsoft Font problem...like Windows 6.00..... soft reset finally cured it.
