OmniG Software have released a Beta of 3D Chopper Fight. It has a normal and 2700G (Dell Axim X50v) enhanced version in there. Heres the link http://www.omnigsoft.com/products/20...ight_Trial.zip

Since this game utilizes the 2700g chip, I've been looking forward to it for a while. And what a dissappointment it is! Awkward game controls and crappy graphics that really aren't that much better than any of the other so called "3d" games by OmniGsoft. I've seen quite a few demos of the x50v's capabilities, and this game pales in comparison to the possibilities offered by this device. If this is any indication of the "2700g compatible" games that are supposed to be coming out, than it's going to be quite a lackluster season.

I got it yesterday when the link still worked and I can honestly say that you're not missing much.

Hey, I downloaded it yesterday as well. Can't remember where I gleaned the link from, but, actually you are all right. Game play aint that great, but, the graphics are pretty darned awesome in my opinion. I see it as a great example of graphics capabilities for VGA Pocket PC's and a BETA PROG as well. If you don't like the game play, well, send an e to the developers? It's still Beta. I would imagine with what seems to be an extensively developed NEW product even in beta, they will include button options as well as many other features in the final product.

ya

I do hope with Windows M 5.0 and its built in Direct X (Direct 3D) that games will start looking more PSP like. Untill then i think devs are kinda taking it slow and getting used to seeing the X50V as more powerfull then most other PPC's. They just need to find the best ballance of speed and Graphics. I can see pixel shaders and vertex shaders in aboyt 2 years lol.

I got it and am playing it on my X50v. Looks good but controls-wise, it's not as smooth as I thought it would be. I'm probably bad at the game which explains my poor flying abilities. It does, however, look good and if it can be mastered, I'm sure it'll be a nifty one too :)

yeah.. enigmo is the best 2700g-enabled game so far...

chopper fight, IMO, is crappy, an insult to X50v. for that reason, I unistalled the trial, deleted the installer, and removed the link from my browser history

Edit:

I hope we get more well-thought games like enigmo for the X50v...

enigmo was cool until you actually got far in the game!

when there was more than just water dripping, it would slow the x50v down to a near stand still, and the response times were sometimes literally 15+seconds.
