Thanks for the suggestions. But are there any programs out there that are primarily used for a virtual chess board? I don't really need a computer partner, just something that will allow me to play over games. I looking to ditch my chess set if possible. Thanks.
This is what you've been looking for. It is designed primarily to use for game review and as a digital chess board. New updates have added chess engines for an AI opponent AND game analysis. It also has several chess sets and best of all it's FREE!

You install then from the handheld so put them on the device then go in file explorer and find the file click on it and it will start to install :approve:
Before you install a .cab, I recommend you install Cabinst (freeware). It allows you to install .cab file in locations other than main memory. Using the process described by fishwood will automatically install the app to main memory only.

I recently downloaded this one after following a link to the free software from this site. It contained a trojan called dropper.generic.ex. My AVG software picked it up after I unzipped and installed (even though it is set to scan archives)
The game plays well, but I'm uncertain what dropper.generic.ex has done to either my PC or PPC (Axim 5, WM2003) or how to get rid of it - there's not much info on the "generic" part out there. Lots of others.
Any recommendations?
Any forums here that are discussing threats to PPCs?

I downloaded is quite a while ago and didn't have any problems. It would also seem that PPCFreeware would provide some protection from viruses with the apps they sponsor.
