We´ve been waiting so long... .;-)

I was hoping for a long time, that something like the good old PC Diablo Games would be available.

The VGA-Version looks great on my Axim x50v, especially the Shadows are very impressive.

But as soon as you have several Monsters attacking, the Game runs rather sloooow.....

I´m wondering if full Intel2700G Support would improve the Gameplay speed...

OK, at least you can change the Shadowing Details so that the Game runs faster - but the realtime-Shadows look great....

And I guess I´ll have to buy a second Battery :-)

Anyway... Can´t wait for the Full-Version... :approve:

yeah the battery life when playing this is my biggest concern.... I loaded up the demo last night to give a try while i was in bed... I could see real fast that this was going to be a time waster

Man, and I just purchased Arvale a few days ago! I think I would have opted for this instead.

I guess I'll download the demo and check it out.

Thanks for the link.

Very fun game - it has the best controls that I've seen in a game like this. I love all of the little details they've added, like the rats running around on the floor and the shadows. I pre-ordered a while back, and it was nice to get a taste of this before August 1st.

Really enjoying the demo and looking forward to the full game. Looks much better playing than it does on the screen shots. Now some help please... I've got 2 doors on level 1 that say 'This door is operated elsewhere' and my feeble rpg skills can't figure out what to do to get them open.

raines - you need to pull the leaver on one of the pilars in the second room opposite the first door that will not open. Inside you find the second leaver to operate the other locked door.

I was kinda disappointed actually. I had hoped for a more engauging storyline with more dialog etc. like Neverwinter Nights. Instead it seems to be a hack and slash like Diablo.

amheck - Arvale is wont disappoint you. I really enjoyed it (except for some parts were I got lost in a forest/swamp for a while and had to kill many many monsters. Basically I like the story to keep flowing and the fighting to be harder but less often.

Cheers

The demo looks very good in vga on the x50V and plays fine. I'd like a couple tweaks though.
1) To be able to hold the stylus where you want to go instead of having to keep tapping the screen. I’d like to be able to just drag the stylus around and him follow.
2) To be able to tap on the other side of the wall and have the character able to walk to the point. It seems he can only go where you tap the screen if it’s in view of the screen tap. So, if you want to go around a wall, you have to tap on the end of the wall then where he gets there, tap on the other side and he will go there. It'd be nice if you could just tap on the other side of the wall and he would walk around it by himself.
3) A way to increase the gamma. To keep the poor x50 battery alive, I like to keep it on the least bright setting which makes this game hard to see.
4) Some way to make changing weapons and spells quicker. Another screen button or allow for mapping of the buttons to certain weapons or what ever.
5) The doors and holes to the lower levels are a little difficult to see. Better contrast would be nice.
6) Maybe support for the 2700G graphics processor would be nice to speed the game up when there are several monsters on the screen at the same time.
None of these are deal breaker as the game is Diablo like thus far, manna, life, spell scrolls, weapons, etc. I'll be getting this one when it comes out.

i actually havent tried it with the gapi tweak, though in their forums it was mentioned (with an earlier beta) that the gapi tweak did not improve performance

How do you know when the demo is over? I've explored all the first level and what I believe the second level. I found the stairs to the third, but cant go down without the full version. I take it this is the end of the demo or is there more?

Hmmm. Seems everyone is having more success than I am.
I've hit a number of bugs in the game. Probablly because of my system, I would guess, but might as well put it out here.

I'm using x50v, Rom A00 Japanese, with 21MB data, 21MB program memory avaiable. I have the music off, the CPU on max, the shadow rendering on fastest.

I've hit the following problems.

1)Can't map the keys. Every time I try, it maps the attack button and then freezes for the next button.

2)Can'T cast spells. I memorize them, change to teh spell casting screen, and then tap the spell icon. All I get is the spell list. No way to cast. Not sure why. I would think mapping the buttons might work better but who knows.

3)The game crashes after a while when I'm on the 2nd level. A different action casues the crash each time at different points. I have no ideas why this happens.

So far, I like the game, but with these problems in teh Demo, there's no way I'm going to buy the game. I mean, if the demo doesn't work 100% for my machine, I'm not wasting the money. Anyone else have problems with the game?

I've sent a note to the developer to see what can be done, but no information yet.
