Heart Toki Tori

Has anyone played Toki Tori yet? I love this little game. The graphics are adorable and the background music is not annoying. Does anyone remember the old PC game Humans? This game reminds me alot of Humans.

How long have you been playing? Does it get old in a hurry?

I have played it for only a little over 30 minutes so far. I think that since you are constantly adding new items and techniques that it will retain its fascination. Plus, since it is more of a puzzle game than action game, it will continue to be fun. There are 60 levels in all and I am on level six or so.

I downloaded it but have not had a chance to try it yet. I'm stuck on EggHead at the moment ;)

I can't get TT to install. I get this error message: "Application Manager cannot install this application on your mobile device due to an invalid setup file. Reinstall and try again." Any ideas? Haven't had any difficulties installing other software. - mm

I finally took a minute to play last night. What a cute little game! I think this will have to be a permanent addition to my Axim :)

I would try to uninstall the program, if you have it installed to the PC or PPC. Then I would try to redownload the install program, and try installing again. The .exe file might be corrupted.

DL'd demo again - install gave same result. In the C:\Program Files\AIM Productions\Toki Tori Demo folder, i found this core.err file that contains the error message:

Warning: Section [DestinationDirs] key "Links" is not using the string "%InstallDir%"
Error: CAB file "C:\Program Files\AIM Productions\Toki Tori Demo\Toki Tori Demo.ppc30_mips.CAB" could not be created.

Can't see that i'm doing anything different than any other software i've put on the Ax. mebbe just not win2k compatible. Have tried several different ways to copy files onto Ax. mostly resulted in error msgs of missing files or lockups. i give up for now.

Hmmm. . . it is something to do with the MIPS version, which shouldn't be an issue since the Axim would use the ARM version. Where did you download the demo?

Before I go any further Raynne, I just have to say that I always have to pause and concentrate when I read the bright brick red text of your posts. Maybe that's a good thing, but . . . !

Anywho, DL'd the demo from Handango, nowhere weird. What's curious is that it doesn't look like the ARM version is unpacking, there is only Toki Tori Demo.ppc30_mips.DAT, no corresponding *_ARM.DAT file. If you don't mind checking your PC to see what it's got, I'd appreciate it. - mm

p.s. maybe I won't give up quite yet; I always hate for these to get the best of me!

LOL You don't like my orange red text? I am crushed. :D Hmmm. . . Try downloading the demo from Pocket Gear and see if that one works any better. Maybe Handango's version is bad.

Or you go right to the source Clickgamer . It's right on their website. That's where I downloaded from and had no trouble :).

Wow! I just checked out the Clickgamer link to make sure it works.... I haven't been to their website in a couple of days. I can't believe how many new games they have. Looks like they have partnered with another company...neat stuff in the works!

OK, I officially give up. DL'd from both PocketGear and ClickGamer, both at home and the office. Still hangs while loading and craps out. Must be a conflict somewhere, but this doesn't seem to be such a must-have app as to pursue it any more. Oh well - mm
