New Free Sudoku Game! (VGA only)

I have created a freeware Sudoku game, the current version is 0.1, and this is the first release. It is completely playable at the moment, it just doesn't have all of the features that I want it to have. Note that it is only playable when your Pocket PC is running in true VGA mode at the moment. All the files you need are attached to this thread in a zip file.

Here is what is coming soon:

- QVGA support
- Progress saving/loading
- New interface (Sneak Preview)
- Possible rewrite in C++ (currently eVB) for faster speed/smaller size
- Tutorial
- More puzzles (currently comes with 10 puzzles, although the format is easy to understand)

Here are the instructions on how to install it:

- Install Embedded Visual Basic Runtime (2.78 MB) if it is not already installed on your Pocket PC
- Copy Beech.ttf to Windows/Fonts
- Create Sudoku directory (does not matter where on your system it is) and copy all puzzle files and Sudoku.vb into it
- Run Sudoku.vb
Attached Files:
File Type: zip sudoku.zip (25.6 KB, 91 views)

Munk and Fishwood - Thanks for the nice comments.
Ironhelix - as I stated in the post above, I will be adding QVGA support in a later version.

And I have found a bug that I have to fix - when loading a puzzle, if you already have a puzzle loaded, blank squares are not cleared properly, and some squares that should be blank will have numbers from the previous puzzle in them. To fix this, either clear those squares after changing puzzles, or quit and reopen the game between puzzles.

well...i'll just wait until the regular VGA version comes out...you realize that most of us w/ a vga device dont use SE or OZ VGA software...lol :) Then again...VB for PPC doesn't work like regular VGA programs, so I guess I'll just be waiting for th QVGA version. :(

you said vga and i was thinking vga...like normal vga games (atomic cannon/etc)...lol...not an oversized window LOL

I'll be looking forward to it. :approve:
