TTD (Open PPC TTD) with VGA?

Has anyone got a recent version of Open PPC TTD to work with a VGA device like an X50v?

The latest betas are supposed to run it in VGA mode without any config tweaking or anything, however after getting 2 nice VGA intro screens, I get the error "No such video driver: GAPI". I've tried with and without Picard's GAPI tweak and every combination of tweak settings I could, no change.

Yeah I just tried it today on my Loox - Its amazing! The quality and detail is fantastic! Try Backup >> Hard reset >> Test. If it works, just reinstall your apps one by one, if it doesn't, just restore your backup.
Seriously though this is a great game - I really reccomend it to anyone who hasn't played it. It's one of the (very) few games that kept me entertained for more than a couple of hours on my PDA. There are always new ways to do things, and different things to try.

I made it into a cab file. Maybe you will have more luck with this :

Make sure to turn off full detail and animation, and to install to Built in storage or SD/CF card.

Does anyone have the latest released (beta 6 release 7)? Apparently this makes great improvements but their download site is down and the alternate link that someone posted appears to be an earlier version (although I'm not sure TBH).

I downloaded it when it came out, and I went back to r6b6 straight away.. It didn't even run in VGA mode on mine.. although I spose I coulda done something wrong..

I can't get it to work

I keep getting an error message about SDL not loading properly. Not sure what that means.

Hm.. Do have have any other VGA tweaks running? I just tried it on my Loox with the VGA GAPI tweak, and it works fine, apart from the occasional CTD..

Maybe try uninstalling and reinstalling from the .cab file I posted above that's the one I tested it with..
Where exactly did you get this error, and where did you install the game?

I don't have any VGA tweaks/hacks running. Do I need to install the GAPI tweak? That's one I haven't done yet.
I have installed everything to the CF card. I tried installing files from eSoftInteractive's website and I got an error message before the game even started. After I tried installing from your View MyPDA is when I got the SDL error that I mentioned earlier.

You know, I've not been able to get Mastersoft's SuDoku running, either, when others have had no problem. I wonder if I have a software conflict somewhere.

Well, it's working now. I reinstalled to my CF card - didn't make any changes from what I tried yesterday or anything. Go figure :bang: :bang:
