Playable Chess?
Anyone know of a good chess game that has some sort of adjustable difficulty? It seems all the ones I've read about in this forum are reported as "unbeatable", even by tournament-caliber players. :rolling:
Whether it's freeware, or you gotta pay for it, doesn't matter to me. Suggestions? Thanks ahead of time!

Pocket Grandmaster is pretty good. The site says there is a show threat option which will let you know what the computer is planning on doing. You are allowed to take back bad moves if you have it on tutor mode. It will also give you hints.

What kind of issues? I have version 2.0 (I think) on my Axim and it appears to be working well. Granted I have not played many games, though.

Hmmm. . . That is odd. Did you try to uninstall it, perform a soft reset, and then reinstall?

Pocketchess was free, has skill levels, has not been a problem to load, is quick, offers hints and is free!?
