I have never been able to get this game to work on my X50V. Not even during the beta period. I installed .net compact framework. I tried running the game from my CF card and main memory and still no dice. I even have more than 13MB free storage and program memory. I've contacted support but in the meantime, if anyone has any suggestions I'd love to hear them.
It's not looking good for the X50v. We have loads of X50v users who are having no problems. However the odd issue we do get at support is always on the X50v. Just don't get it at all. Chances are it is something else on the machine corrupting Microsoft's .NET. It installs first time every time and perfectly on an out of the box X50v so ... got to be something users install but no idea yet what it is...
Hmm... perhaps I'll do a backup and wipe the machine to give it a go. All I've heard about Mastersoft's SuDoku makes me really want to give it a go.
Cheryl we're testing V1.10 at present and it has some awesome never seen before features. PM me and I'll tell you how to join the private forum. Perhaps we can get to the bottom of this issue too as some of the testers are sure to have seen it.
Ok.I had the hard reset issue. First it was with a version downloaded from Emule. And it hard reseted my Axim X50v A04ROM. So I tried the demo from Mastersoft's website running after a hard reset of the Axim (so nothing else installed) and it will still make the hard reset. So there must be some bug..
My 2 cents

Hello, there is definitely no hard reset issue with our files. Maybe you installed the same emule one by accident. We've sold 1000's ... and never seen this issue. It's only those who got it 'ilegally'.

Just thinking out loud perhaps, but is it REALLY conceivable that someone would take an application like Mastersoft's SuDoKu, reverse engineer it to make it an otherwise working application that will sometimes spontaneously hard reset the device?
I could understand if a company was to hack their own software with such code and spread it around the file sharing circles as a "poison" but for the life of me I can't understand why someone would go to all the trouble of the described situation. Especially even taking the trouble to apply the same hack to all the different versions. And not only that, but this cross-platform virus can infect other downloaded versions even from legitimate sites.
Or am I misreading something here?

Well I can see why you'd think that for sure. It doesn't make sense. We certainly wouldn't gain anything from it. The thing is there were zillions of the files when I looked yesterday. As for cracking all versions well there is only one. We're on V1.00. Also we've contacted Handango about it to see if they could do something via their legal department. Pretty pointless if we put them there. These people are stealing but hard resetting ? Maybe somebody just has it in for us :0(
To be honest if I was a successful developer I'd leak poisoned copies onto the net. I would most likely not go and hard reset people's devices, but I'd have no qualms about leaking non-working versions.
There are other approaches already that will try to ensure that P2P users trying to download copyright material get garbage. I'm sure that this one would work too :) Make a bad copy of the software and spread it over P2P networks.
Anyway, not an accusation and I'm glad you didn't take it that way.

The thing is why infect genuine copies using a dodgy one ? You'd want them to be able to buy the real copy. Sometimes I wonder why we bother. As for accusations, well if we did do it we wouldn't admit to it would we ? That just makes it worse. No win situation. We didn't do it, but then we are bound to say that :realmad:
I know - that's what I don't get either. There is a copy that "almost" works, it just sometimes hard resets. Seems odd.
Good point about the accusation. But it's something that I would have been up-front about, had it been me. If I wanted to protect my software then I'd be happy to take public anti-P2P measures.
Anyway - strange situation and your advice is solid - get it from a reputable source.

I for one suffered the hard reset problem. But my copy was a demo version obtained through legal sources. So unless handango or some other distributors are themselves modifying the files it's a bug in the game.

Please don't take offence but I don't believe you. We've distributed 1000's via HP with not a single incident. In any case it isn't available anywhere else, only through us. It's IMPOSSIBLE for it to reset your device and we're willing to submit it to any independent authority for testing to prove it.
The very first time we heard of this issue it was somebody claiming they got it from our site. After about 5 emails and after asking them to send us their file they admitted it was from a share network.
