Morphgear fps?

Hi!

first i want to tell u guys i dont have an x50v but the thing is i ask about the fps u get in morphgear is because i have an ipaq hx4700 and fps is just a sad story :(((
if the axim is better i will buy one of those aswell as i really like the idea of playing all my favorite old RPG on the go.

the fps i get are these, i use sound on, and these are the number within the brackets which are the real fps.

phantasy star 1 (54) Good Sega Master System
phantasy star 2 (0) doesnt work as i cant choose start :S
phantasy star 3 (0) hangs.
phanstasy star 4 (20), hangs when u fight a monster

final fantasy 3(US) 6(JPN) (9-10) this one sadly is very choppy, i can get around 55 fps with frameskip 5, but then its mega choppy and also its very slow in battles.
Dragon Quest 6 (12-13) also very very choppy :(
chrono trigger (13-14) another disappointment
i have seen some ppl post they get like 35 fps in chrono with sound on is that the real one or with frame skip 3 or 4?
cause if it is the real one i am off to buy a x50v tomorrow :D
otherwise i guess i will have to wait for 1 year until a faster more powerful PDA comes out and i can finally play all these games on the go :)

there are more but these are the most popular so i hope someone has tested them out :)

thanks to anyone that can help me out :)

my advice would be to wait until windows mobile 5 is released with direct3d mobile. I don't know how much of a speed boost it will offer but i know the hx4700 has accelerated hardware which the direct3d mobile will take advantage of.

make sure video driver set to GAPI and image smoothing is turned OFF that should give a bit of a boost.

For now there is the fabulous pocketsnes OpenGL ES just search on these forums its only snes it only works on the x50v although im curious to see if it works on the hx4700 in theory the hx4700 supports open gl es

Have you tried overclocking ;).

Anyway, the Axim X50v(and maybe the X30) is the best handheld for gaming emulation. GBA is near full speed on it (frameskip 2) and snes is the same (frameskip 2 or 3). I'm currently using the hacked version of Morphgear ie in combination with Emulamer's Gapi Tweak.
I overclock as well :approve: ...
