NEWS: VGA version of Warring Nations Released--FREE upgrade

I bought Warring Nations a while back, and enjoyed the game. Replay value was kind of limited, but a good Risk-type game overall.

Just got this news in my email inbox 90 minutes ago:
Quote:
Inscenic would like to announce the Warring Nations VGA release for PocketPC.

The new version redesigned special for VGA devices. Also the game contains exclusive music and sound effects.

The VGA edition is available for all registered customers of original Warring Nations as a separate download using ICC - http://www.inscenic.com/insystem.

The game can be purchased exclusively at Clickgamer's online store - http://www.clickgamer.com/moreinfo.htm?pid=3490

If you are experiencing problems with the Insystem Customer Care, please e-mail to support@inscenic.com. We will resolve your problem as soon as possible.

Please post your comments and suggestions on the Warring Nations' forums at www.warringnations.com/forums.

Thank you for your attention.

I typed in my old registration code and it fired up with no problems. The 640x480 display really is so much crisper! I haven't played with the game much, but it certainly feels like an old toy has been made new again.

For those of you who don't have the game, there IS a demo version available at Clickgamer. Try this link.

If you want to buy the game, it's $14.95. Enjoy, guys! :approve:

Yes, and it looks pretty good. Shame it crashed after about 10 turns.

Yeah, it seems like it might have some bugs. Also, if you try to add the add-on maps to the game file the game won't open or run. Hopefully, they'll convert these maps to VGA down the road.
