Ok, I have released version 2.2 with the "no character" mode inspired by this thread, and wm2005 and square screen support.
Thanks all!!

Birdsoft
Birdie,
I love the updated version of Hold'em especially the ability to see the last hand if you lose all of your money in the tourney and the ability to Rabbit hunt. Can you give us a hint as to any other easter eggs in the game?
What the heck is "rabbit hunt"? I've been playing for a long time and I've never found any "easter eggs" either... What am I missing out on?

I have to agree that Birdsoft's Texas Hold'Em is a bit painful on the eyes on the x51v (no VGA hacks). When it comes out in VGA, then I'll give it a try again. If you want the casual user to buy your stuff, unfortunately, looks matter.
So far Realdice's Texas Hold'em (awesome VGA graphics) and Ace Texas Hold'em are the best on the eyes, and they both have good gameplay. Realdice is a bit slow with loading though with it's high-res graphics - but at least gameplay is fast.
Though Realdice could make the table bigger and the input window smaller (though I can understand they did that for stylus-free play which is good). And Realdice's cards are fine, but I prefer the standard card look that Ace has. And while Ace's cards/table are nice and big, it's a waste of time and slows things down having it scroll from one player to the next.
Oh, another thing about Birdsoft - the animation for the players while they're thinking, etc. seems unnecessary - better to save those bits for higher-res graphics.
Aces no limit holdem sucks! i bought it 2 days ago and im really disappointed. it seems like the AI already knows what cards are coming out, so they know when to call or even go all in. it doesnt have any graphics thats worth mentioning, you dont even see a where the players are sitting so you get confused with who's doing what. and not having any music or sound effects make the gameplay extremely boring. i wish i never bought it.
Yeah, Ace's table is too big and having it scroll to show each player is a pain. I think Realdice has the best graphics and is the best-designed for ease of play - love the ability to change modes to see how the hand played out and see who had which hands, etc.
I haven't played Ace's No Limits one - just the Ace Limits version - and the AI for that one definitely bluffs sometimes. I'm no pro player, but the AI for Realdice seems more realistic than Ace's.
My critique is that it is too easy to win. I understand that AI is easier to outsmart than real people, but you can't help but make money when playing the tournaments.
On the big tourneys, all you have to do is play very conservatively. The blinds are so small compared to your bankroll, and they increase too slowly. All you have to do is play very tight until the other computer players eliminate each other. The payoffs are still big for 2nd and 3rd place. I place or win in about 2/3 of tournaments.
It is also too easy to bluff the AI. One money-making strategy: If no one raises before the flop, stay in. If the flop looks like rags, then raise. More often than not, you will be rewarded when everyone else folds.
Otherwise, great game. I'd enjoy it more if it weren't too easy to win.
