IGuidance & Windows Mobile 5.0 problem

First of all, thank you for your excellent customer service in dealing with my order. The shipped products arrived on time with no problems whatsoever. However, the IGuidance software is making my Dell Axim X51v (running WM5) lock up and slow down. I've had to try numerous hard and soft resets. Is there anyway I can exchange (not return) Iguidance for OCN5? I noticed on your other posts that OCN5 does have support for Windows Mobile 5.0. I'm going on a trip next week and not I can't use IGuidance due to this unforseen problem. Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Sorry that you are having this problem but we cannot accomodate your request to "exchange" product due to the fact that all software opened cannot be returned.

Please consider the OCN5 Cross Upgrade for getting OCN5 (L) package by sending in a competitor's product and iGuidance qualifies for this offer.

Just so you know. I talked directly with INav support, the makers of IGuidance. They were very helpful and informed me that they know about the problems with IGuidance on WM5 and that a new release, 2.1.3 I beleive, will be release on or about October 14, 2005 to make their SW compatible with WM5.

I myself own a X51v with WM5, IGuidance 2.1.1 NA and a GlobalSat BT-338 and this setup is not working yet for me either.

I am starting t believe that this update doesn't really exist. they have been promissing an update since Aug. and have sent 2.1.2 to some people who could get a 17mb file via email. Then WM5 showed up and they are now promissing an update for that. I like iguidance and it works well except for a couple of bugs that are supposedly fixed in 2.1.2 but I am going to update to WM5 as soon as Dell gets around to sending it and may have to wait until iguidance gets done with their update as I don't want to lose that software. Come on guys, get 'r done! You are always very responsive to my emails with answers and promises but so far nothing is happening. still waiting.....

I have the same setup. Don't even try to get this combo to work. Any news on a patch/update for WM 5.0? I am about ready to jump ship to a competing software package.

The patch has been out for a while now. go to their web site and as long as you are a registered owner you can get the update to 2.1.3 and it works with wm5
