what is wrong iwith iguidance team??

I bought I guidance a couple of months ago, so I already have the 2.1.2 version.

However.. there is absolutely NOTHING going on in there web page. Last update was sometime in July. Wow that is really sad, considering they have already given out 2.1.2.

And on gpspassion.com they asked for the forum to come down. There were mumblings of them making there own forum.

Of course that would take almost a mirical considering the pace they are moving now.

At the moment they are working on a patch for the software to fix a couple of bugs, they have delayed posting it to the website due to Mobile 2005 release and software conflicts, they hope to have this as well as the earlier patches available early this month......

I think they got a bit too ambitious and tried to do much more than they are capable of handling at this time. I understand they didn't want to keep the forums at GPSPassion for whatever reason but still should have reconsidered keeping them open until they could get things up and running on their site. They don't seem to have the manpower or knowledge as to how they can get things up. And they have been promising the 2.1.2 patch as a download since Sept. 1 and still nothing, but they did try emailing an 18 meg file to users. While it's a nice piece of software that I use and recommend, they need to work on their support site.

I think they took down the GPSPassion forums because they felt like competitors were posting negative items and promoting their own products at the same time. That's why they wanted to bring them under their own roof a bit, so that they could create actual user posted questions/gripes and answers.

Unfortunately, it has taken them a LONG time to straighten this out, and despite the fact that I am a happy user of 2.1.2, I am not impressed with their web support over the past couple of months. In this day and age, that's a big negative in such a competitive arena.

well..I have no idea on the size of their support team...but when emailed they are responsive..seems they could have gotten the patch out sooner and then deal with WM2005 patch

Even if they are busy working on a new patch for bugs and WM 5 what does that have to do with web updates? Does the web guy also do the programming for the navigation software?

Some kind of information on their site would be better than the none they have now. I mean how hard is it to put up a little blurb in the support section that they are currently working on patches and a forum? The last news is about the 7/27/05 release of version for europe, that is getting pretty close to 3 months with no new news. As far as the website is concerned the last update for the USA is 2.1.1

I received an email today regarding their newest patch. It was indicated that it would be out by 10/17....we'll see if that actually happens.

I have to agree with that one. I love the product, but will be surprised if the patch is ready by 10/17.
