Recently I purchased a Dell bluetooth gps navigation system. I installed the software on my computer and loaded system map loader. To my surprise there was a 512mb storage limitation posted above map. I thought nothing of it and clicked state by state were I would travel. Then the annoying message of over 512mb limit poped up. It's truely unfair that you can only install 512mb on a 1gb storage card. Me being the geek that I am, didn't stop me from installing more than 512mb on 1gb card. I discovered a file named
"sizeinfo.sz" in C:\Program Files\Dell\GPS Navigation System. I moved file from the folder and loaded the gps map loader software. To my surprise, I was able to fit more states than it allowed me if file "sizeinfo.sz" was in program folder. I then realized the file "sizeinfo.sz" convernts the compression ratio file size of maps after it is decompressed. The file limitation is still 512mb without the sizeinfo file, but you get the maps at a compressed ratio when you choose states. I successfuly installed 22 states! CT, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, IA, KY, MD, MA, MN, NJ, NY, NC, ND, OH, PA, SC, SD, VA, WV AND WI. Don't erase the file, it comes in handy when you need the correct file size. Have fun
