tomtom navigator 5.10 map install???
can some1 tell me why i keep getting no map found on tomtom? i had copy all my maps to my laptop hd and installed them on my sd card reader so it install faster i keep gettin no map found when it boots up, iam i in the right directory for installing the map. i have a pic check it out PIC

I guess because you copied rather than installed the maps tomtom doesnt know where to look for them. I used activesync and tomtom installation routine and everything is fine. HTH

I agree with flook. I use dell's navteq software, so I don't know what file for you to edit for tomtom to recognize maps. Is the program tomtom on your SD card as well? Try opening the executable of tomtom on your sd card, rather than in programs on your x50v.

Make your your maps aren't in a 2 directories like newyork_maps\newyork_maps! That's what happened to me.

i tryed with \SD Card\TomTom Navigator\Major_Roads_Of_America-Map\Major_Roads_Of_America-Map! can some1 send me a pic or post the path where the maps are , My cd 1 is sooo scratched up it dont work any more :/

It should work on the SD card in a folder of XXXX-Map or something like that.

The only reason I can think of is that your map data is not compatible with your Tom tom version or that it has not been registered.
