Is the unit in this package a rebranded Globalstat BT-338? That is what it looks like to me but want to make sure. If not how does this compare to the Globalstat unit? The Globalstat BT-338 is the unit I have had my eye on for a while now.
yeah this is a little misleading...anyone ever used the BT-339? i see its only 109.95 on their site, while the BT-338 is 143.95...so i assume the bt-339 isnt a "upgraded" version...

some change the model just over a Cosmetic change.

yeah but my point is that the bt-339 is available from them for 109.95...if it was the same as the BT-338 except cosmetically, why would it be $35 cheaper?
I about this -><- close on hitting the confirmed button, but I want to make sure that the map covers Hawaii. I know it says the whole United States, but somehow Hawaii is always an execption....
I emailed them, but I haven't got any answers yet...

1) Yes, for Oahu (see attached screen shot taken from iPAQ 6500 240x 240 screen resolution). BTW: OCN5 supports VGA and it would be better looking that this picture.
2) It is $35 cheaper because it's an introductory offer.
3) Yes, it's made by Globalsat and it's OEM version for OnCourse. This receiver is compatible with any GPS Mapping Software compatible with NMEA.
4) It has WAAS enabled, using the same exact latest SiRF Star III firmware on the BT-338.
