I was looking for a cheap GPS solution for my x51v so I picked up MS Streets & Trips 2006 w/ GPS from Staples today which had it on sale for $90. I used a $30 off $75 coupon so it only cost me $65 out the door.
From what I have read, the GPS receiver included in the package is just a Pharos GPS receiver rebranded by Microsoft. The package itself says the receiver is compatible with GPS-360 accessories. Can anyone confirm if the included GPS receiver the same as the
Pharos iGPS-360?
If it is the same as the iGPS-360, then the chipset it uses is SiRF StarIIe/LP. I know that its not the latest SiRFstar III, but is it good enough? BTW, Pharos announced their latest
SiRFstarIII GPS receiver.
I'm also debating whether to get the
BlueTooth Dock or the
CompactFlash Adapter. Does anyone have any experience with either of these two adapters and can share their experience?
Does the BT problems with WM5 affect the use of the BlueTooth dock?
