How much to add decent GPS to my X50V.

I"m new to the GPS receivers and software. What would be an entry price I could get a GPS receiver (preferable BT) and a decent software with voice routing.

I would say $200-250 would be the sweet spot for "decent"...

I concur with NoWire.

This is the setup I have..

1. BT-339 GPS receiver (Same as BT-338, but cheaper)
2. Arkon DM320 car kit
3. Arkon CM047-s vent kit
4. Arkon AP005 adapter plate (will need to be slightly modified so the DM320 will connect to the vent kit)

The total cost with shipping from http://www.buygpsnow.com was 155.07. Do not forget to use your 10% discount.

You can try a free demo of Mapopolis at http://www.mapopolis.com If you like the program the cost is $90 from http://www.buygpsnow.com. This setup and a Starbucks coffee should bring you to about $500 or skip the coffee and it will be lowered to $250.

I went a little higher class than the previous poster and went with the following in my thread:

http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showthread.php?t=104246

Pro-Clip Mount between 20-40 depending on your car, if you don't want a windshield of vent held mount these are the best way to go imho. If you don't care then drop off that $40

Seidio Powered mount, $80 ish plus shipping depending on if you want a speaker or not. These mounts seem to be the best option if you want easy in and out for your axim as well as very few wires, arkon also has a mount but I have an x30 and it was not an option for me.

CF or SD Card, if you don't have a 1gb+ of one of these cards then you will have another 70 ish.

BT reciever $100... buygpsnow.com BT-339

Software... well thats up to you anywhere from $90 - $200 ish

I spent a week looking over all of this and then decided on what I wanted.

I suggest you do the same.

Horse of a different color

Thanks for the info. Looks like the package is about $50.00US less expansive than the BS BT338 combo with the same holder.
