Hello,

I have an X51V with a BT-338 and iGuidance version 2.1.3 DVD. I just installed ROM A04.
I have all of the maps for California installed on a 1Gig Sandisk SD card (Takes up 153Meg). My PDA still won't "see" the receiver. I have tried the setup procedures as described in this forum, still no luck.
Is there anyone out there with the exact same setup? Is it working?
How did you setup/install your unit?
I also bought a BC-337 Compact Flash unit from Globalsat only to find out that the unit is "not yet WM5 compatable"
GGRRRRRR...
Lost.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a X51v and I have the BT-338 and was using the DELL Navigation software. I posted the procedure for setting up the BT338 on the X51v in the following link message #18

. I have since started using Iguidance V2.1.3 and have also updated the ROM on my X51v. When I reinstalled the software and set up the BT338 the procedure was no different. If you have not tried using the sequence in the other thread you might give it a try.

Ok, wait a second, can you or did you pair up your BT receiver to your PDA? If you cannot or haven't paired it up, your PDA won't see the BT receiver for sure and it has nothing to do with whatever the nav software you're using.

Indeed, I'm using BT-339 (just a re-badged BT-338) with my x51v, running iGuidance 2.1.3 (DVD) and works perfect. I don't know there is a upgrade ROM for my PDA though... (I ordered my PDA in early November and used the same ROM so far) I didn't bother with the ROM coz I'm PDA newbie.
