It depends on how you want to use the mount. The DM320 is "integrated" and doesn't have any dangling wires, whilethe CM720 does. It's also easier to dock onto the DM320.

However, it looks like the CM720 is more versatile and flexible, since it can accomodate many devices of various sizes.

I prefer the cleanear appearance of the DM320 (and also Seidio's G4500).

I just recently bought a DM320 and have not had any luck using it with TOM TOM 5 (ver 5.20) at all.

If anyone knows how to set this up could they let me know? It works fine with a couple of other GPS programs but TOM TOM does n't see it at all. I did read i may need to set it to NMEA output but have, as yet, been unsuccessful!

The DM320 has no built-in GPS. The DM520 does. If you bought a DM320 perhaps that's why your GPS software can't see it.
