Is a Bluetooth gps receiver 16 channels anygood ?

I'm looking to buy a bluetooth gps receiver, problem is, I see 16 channel ones and 32 channel ones.

I could probably afford a 16 channel receiver but shoul I hang out for a 32 channel receiver instead, anyone with experience here please. Any one also know which is the best one for use with the axim x50v and tomtom 5.2

I had a 8 channel cf card gps receiver which was very slow, hae since sold it.....

A 16-channel GPSr is plenty sufficient. Many receivers are only 12-channel. It's very rare that your GPSr will be able to actually "see" more than about 12 satellites simultaneously anyway, so there's not an incredibly strong reason to have the ability to receive 32 signals. It does, however, make your marketing material look better. ;)

Read GPS201 from my sig. It discusses channels and speed, along with some other buzz words.
