I plan on getting a gps bundle soon, in addition to using the pda for gps I would also like to use it as a touchscreen mp3 player. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this. I would like to have the mp3 running in the background while the tomtom or other gps software is running. I have a cassette player so I am going to use the line out to cassette adapter. If anyone knows any good mp3 players that can be good for touchscreen please let me know.

I have not been able to reliably get gps+mp3 on my x51v yet.

I have tried wm10 and gsplayer with tomtom and iguidance. Either the mp3s stops playing through a play list, or I don't hear the navigation directions.

I thought I could solve these problems with once device, but with the unreliability of the x51v, I'm starting to think I should go with separate devices.

It works just fine, I use it daily with tomtom 5.21 and mortplayer. Since tomtom doesnt let you minimize it I have mapped the switch task funktion of wisbar advance to a hardbutton and use that switch between mortplayer and tomtom... Works flawless!

I've used my GSPlayer with GarminQue with no problems. The issues comes with certain GPS programs that utilizes too much memory (like OCN5 with seamless all of North America map for example) and not leaving enough memory to run other apps. GarminQue when launched only uses 5+ MB of Main Memory (this is with Garmin's 1.6GB of all of NA maps). Other programs have hogged up to 20+ MB and leaves less than 10 MB for other apps to run.

I have used it on axim 51v with Iguidance.

Here is what i observed.

While IGuidance is running, the WM(windows media) player plays fine but with a reduced SOUND (not sure why). Once i shutdown Iguidance normal sound is restored. Iam guessing that Iguidance is capturing some setting of Soundcard may be.

The tracks just play fine.
