European maps

Hello,

I just bought an Axim x51v with GPS (there's a nice discount going on).
Dell's customer service said the package will contain maps for US/Canada but not for Europe. They also said european maps cannot be purchased through the US Dell website.

Do you know where could I buy maps compatible with Dell's GPS software? Any recommendation?

stupid question, but if you live in the states what do u need maps from europe for anyway?

Fair enough: I travel very often in Europe, infact, the GPS will be mostly used there.
Buying the GPS from the US website (or calling cust. serv.) does not give you an option: you have to get US maps and cannot get EU maps.

BTW, if you don't mind me asking an off-topic question: I see you have 4GB CF and 1GB SD on your Axim (way to go :approve: ) and then other memories for GPS.
Any reasons not to use the 4+1 for GPS maps as well?

just so you know you can only store 512mb of maps at one time.. hold on I will find you a link so you can get the software

Would you also know why when I pick the European map and I say I live n th eUS it costs $99 while if I say I live in Belgium it costs 168 euros? (almost 2X). Marketing?
