My BT-338 communicated fine before I upgraded my AximX50v to WM5. Now I don't seem to be able to get Bluetooth GPS to talk to the Axim. I'd appreciated it if someone could shed some light on the subject for me.

Not sure how I can help, but I have an X50v upgraded to WM5 and just bought a new 338 last week. I was nervous that it wouldn't work after reading all the posts here, but right out of the box everything worked as expected - not that this helps you any.

Do you know what hardware and software COM setting you use? Also, are you having the GPS managed by WM5 or is that unchecked?

You didn't say what mapping software you use. Most require a patch file (if released by vendor) to work on WM5.

I use iGuidance with the GPS and it has been patched. But I can't get the Axim to see the bluetooth transmitter. I mean it sees it, but won't connect. It's ROM A01 on X50v. Still nothing newer, as far as I know.

if your bluetooth icon is red, click it to turn it on. I always make this mistake.
