Driving Direction - GPS Software

I currently have Pocket Streets 2005 on my x51. The problem is it only diplays a map with my current location. I can search for palces but that NOT what I want.

I have an external bluetooth device (which works with the x51.

I am looking for software to work with my x51 to be able to get driving directions. Like I would input the start location, end location it would display the direction (provided I have the map available to the device) of course. I do not care if the software speaks the turns or not.

Like a "turn-by-turn" directions.

Left onto Apple St .6m
Right onto Boise Ave 1m
Bear right onto Parkcenter Blvd .87m

PocketMap Navigator is GREAT!!! Currently, they are not compliant with WM5.0 But they will come with a patch by no later than the end of the first quarter.

Tom-Tom is also very good.

There are several options MUCH Better than MS Pocket Streets. Do a google search I used to have that also and I hate it, right now I use Pocket Map Navigator.

This web-site has lots of the available GPS Software/Hardware available.

Good luck!

best bet in terms of ( functions, looks, compatibilities..etc ) is "iGuidance 2.1.3"

Check out ALK's website

http://www.alk.com

and their Co-Pilot Live for PocketPC program. I am using it now and the interface blows away the competition.

GPS Software

Take a look at Mapopolis. They let you download the software for free and two county maps for a brief trial period. I use it daily and love it. The free trial at least gives you an opportunity to judge for yourself.

From this, I would think you want text-to-speach, and Mapopolis is the only one I know of that offers this feature. They also the only to offer a free trial, so check it out for yourself! The other major PDA GPS Nav players:
TomTom 5.21
OnCourse Navagator 5
iGuidance 2.13
Destinator PN

Show the street name on screen but the audio will be more like "Left turn in 1000 feet". My personal choice is iGuidance because I feel it has the best combination of stability and interface. GPSpassions.com is another good place to do research.

Get iGuidance from buygpsnow.com for $10.00 less. They are a big time aximsite supporter and a great company to do business with.
