We have the the MaxQData software shown above. It's great! The main reason we bought a X51v is to run this software. You can take your car to a real race track, setup your Axim and Bluetooth GPS. Then drive around the track slowly and log some "beaken points". Then when you drive the car around the track at speed, the software displays you time between the beaken points, as well as total lap time. In addition it displays the G-forces, MPH, etc.... Plus it records your laps so you can overlay them and compare them.
What we use it for is autocross where you run individual timed laps on a predefined course. We record our first and second runs, them overlay them. You can then easily watch both "cars" on course as they are played back in real time. We can then easily see at which points on the course we were faster or slower and focus on them for our 3rd run.
We haven't had any problems with it. It's worked great!
