Got the GPS, made an account at geocache, found relatively close caches, have origami to put into the cache...
BUT I have not tried looking for it. Maybe if they say its in the park ill wander the park..
Does anyone find it difficult to walk with their PPC and GPS though? Bluetooth or not... I don't have the pocket space.

Rig a belt clip for your gps. My GlobalSat has a belt loop on its case.
I started out using my Axim with a CF GPS receiver as my main means of locating caches and then I used Best Buy gift cards I got for Christmas to "upgrade" to a Garmin LegendC. The Garmin is ruggedized so if I drop it, it SHOULD be able to handle the shock whereas I'd rather not try it with my Axim.
I DO take my Axim with me everywhere I go to and use GpxSonar to keep the cache database for my area available so I can read the description any time AND enter field notes so I can make the appropriate entries on Geocaching.com when I get back to my desk. I'll also use it in a pinch if I happen to be in an area I haven't cached in and don't have the Garmin with me.

Hello fellow geocachers. My name is rxist2be on geocaching.com. We've recently started geocaching with the whole family and LOVE it. I use my x50v with BT-339 receiver and Backcountry Navigator. To protect my PPC I use the otterbox 1900 case. Great investment for this kind of thing. Anybody else in western OK?
Using my BT339 receiver and Axim X50v with Beeline GPS software. So far everything has worked great! The BT339 came with a great carrying case that attaches to my belt so the only thing I have to carry is the Ax.
Most annoying thing is that the signal can really start to bounce around with under tree cover, but I guess that can happen with any GPS...

I'm SHOtime on geocaching (whole family name).
Use my Axim X5 and Altina CF GPS with BeelingGPS software.
Was using GPXSonar also, but found I can just do it all in Beeline.
Have a new CF GPS device with SiRF III & WAAS ordered.
Beeline is a very good product, although I'll admit I'm still stumbling around the interface a bit since I don't use it to navigate all that often. When I first started caching, I used a combination of Vito Navigator II and GpxSonar. When I ditched Vito, I stayed with GpxSonar since I'd become quite familiar with it.

I have been Geocaching since 2003. My name is Roll Tide Kid. I use a Garmin GPSmap 76CSx. I just bought it to replace my Garmin e-Map. I needed something more rugged. I also use my Axim.

Me, the wife, and the kids have been geocaching for a month or so. Our name on geocaching.com is Team MadSpaniel. The kids get a real kick out of it. They know we have to be secrative when there are muggles around, my son likes to think that we are spies!!! Too funny.
I do have a question. At the moment we use Google Earth to find the location of the caches. I am going to buy either a BT-338 or the CF version along with IG3. Will this be sufficient to get an accurate GPS fix using cache coordinants??? Or will I need different software???
I've been Geocaching for a couple months - ever since I got my Axim and BT-339. My username at geocaching.com is the same as here.
For software, I use Beeline GPS, which I've found is easy to use and versatile. I will probably get a handheld GPS at some point in the future, though, as I'm a little worried my Axim will get damaged or wet out in the wild.
