Poll: who else is using x51v mapopolis? Plus how to save more favorite locations?

I bought the x51v in Jan. Love it so far. I have a Belkin bluetooth wireless receiver and installed Mapopolis. I'm happy with the software. Are there anyone using it as well?

Only problem that I have is that I can't open contact address. It give me error message every time I try. So now I can only have the last 8 places in the favorite. Anyone can help?

On my x51v, version 4.64beta does not give me an error when I try to import a contact, but it so slow, I generally do not use it. In some cases, it can not find a contact due to the specific address format. However, I know this is a hotly contested issue with users and they are working on it.

I'm using Mapopolis v.3.27 on my X51v, mainly because I'm having such a hard time configuring TomTom5 to work with the Axim and the Globalsat SD-502 SDIO GPS. I haven't used the newer versions of Mapopolis, but from what I can see, they aren't dramatically different than what I'm using. Mapopolis is relatively easy to use, set up, and understand. Plus, it's a tiny program and the maps are small too. Not terribly feature rich, but it definitely gets you from Point A to Point B with good voice instructions and enough visual/statistical options.

Mapopolis User

Check out the Mapopolis forum over on gpspassion.com. They have 4.70 RC1 (release candidate 1) available and it appears that this version has solved the very problem you are having. I think you will like the Mapopolis forum over there.

Thanks for the response. But I went to their website

Now I'm confused. It has many beta versions. Which one should I pick?

They have a diagnostic and a non-diagnostic version. You want the non-diagnostic version. Among the three non-diagnostic types, you can either select a .cab file, a .zip file or the regular .exe file. If you have a broadband connection, I'd suggest selecting the .exe version, although all three file types are the same program. The .zip file is probably best for someone with a dial-up internet account.

Just did it. Love the new version.

However, my PDA won't sync with my desktop anymore. The activesyn shows connected, then sycronizing forever... :(

I uninstalled the mapopolis program but the problem still continues.

What can I do to fix it????

The contacts (address book) is a known issue that is fixed on the latest betas.

I'm using Mapopolis 4.7 RC4. No problem with contacts.

Soft reset didn't do it. I just reinstalled the activesync and now it works.
