Has anyone gotten TomTom5 working with WM5's managed GPS?

I have a x50v with WM5, a bluetooth gps device, and TomTom5. WM5 has a GPS applet that allows the device to connect to the GPS device on one com port and then have applications receive gps data on another virtual com port.

But has anyone gotten TomTom5 to support this? If I configure TomTom for the real gps com port, it can see the gps, but if I configure it for the virtual com port, it doesn't see the gps. If it's not possible, then I'll stop trying. Other programs like Mapopolis had no problems with the virtual port.

Thanks!
