Opinions and Advice PLEASE!!!
I ordered a Dell Axim 300mhz edition from Dell (which should be coming on thursday) and a 128mb CF card from Amazon (which should be coming on thursday also) and now that I have that part down, I am looking to purchase a GPS unit.

This unit:
1) Can't be CF because of the memory card that I have in there
2) Is primarily for use in the car. I don't think that I am going to ever have to use it outside of the car
3) Has to be able to be used on a laptop also
4) Preferably should have voice prompts to guide me where I'm going

I have been looking at the Deluo GPS from eBay and I think that I am going to buy that one.

What do you think of my configuration? Is 128mb enough for the Axim? Is the Deluo good enough for what I need it for? Is Deluo a good brand?

I think that I am going to use Mapopolis with any GPS that I get and I have a few questions about Mapopolis...Which version should I get, and does it come with unlimited updates and downloads of maps?

Thanks a lot for any advice!!!

I just tested a Deluo receiver just like that with my Axim. With the universal receiver on the dash of my car, it worked very well on my test drive in the country. The universal receiver doesn't have a connector for an external antenna, so in a city environment with tall buildings it may not receive as well. However, I can't test it in that environment, so it may work perfectly well without the external antenna. The power and data connector worked well with the Axim. Overall it was impressive and well made.

do you have the 300mhz version and if you do, did it work well, or do I need the 400?

I have the 400, but the 300 should work well. The limitations on the 300 will be on memory, not connectivity to a GPS receiver, so you need to consider which software you want to use. It's more a function of available memory for the program than the CPU speed.

Also, I discovered that the antenna unit has a magnet in it, so you could stick it to the car outside for working where the signal is a bit more problematic (cities, for example). The cable is a bit thick but you should be able to route it through the car door.
